The history of organizing the Civil Servant Day

In Thailand dates back to 1979, when various government agencies and associations related to civil servants discussed the idea of holding an event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the enactment of the Civil Servant Law. Finally, they jointly organized the "Personnel Management Week" from April 1-7 of that year
This event served as a starting point for government agencies and associations related to civil servants to realize the importance of having a dedicated day to honor civil servants. Therefore, April 1st was chosen as "Civil Servant Day"
To commemorate the day when the first version of the Civil Servant Law was enforced in 1939.
Apart from the historical significance of this date, celebrating Civil Servant Day on April 1st is alsoa way to show gratitude and respect for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), who laid the foundation for modern Thai civil service with the enactment of the Civil Servant Law during his reign.
